Gastric Bypass Revision

If you have already undergone a form of bariatric surgery and had complications or did not successfully lose weight, revision surgery might be an option for you.

Failure after Gastric Bypass may be due to mechanical or metabolic reasons; the eating behaviors of a patient should be considered as well. In fact, the first step in assessing a patient who has failed to lose adequate weight after Gastric Bypass, is to look carefully at the patient's food consumption.
Bypass Revision is basically a plication in what's left of the stomach pouch after a Bypass.  This procedure will help Bypass patients lose the weight they were gaining after a failed Bypass procedure.

The Bypass Revision averages a 4-day hospitalization with a return to full activity in 7-10 days. A liquid protein and soft diet is suggested for 3 weeks post op.
